
Flatland is all about style, control, and creativity – and 15-year-old Chiaki is already making serious waves. Hailing from Kitakyushu City in Fukuoka, Japan, she’s part of a new generation of riders pushing the limits. How did you get into BMX? My younger brother seemed to be into BMX, so I started too.

Three people who inspire you and why? My younger brother Yamato, my younger sister Azusa, and my coach Keisuke Tanigawa. I practice with my siblings every day under the guidance of Mr. Tanigawa.

Best advice given to you? I always receive the best advice and guidance from Coach Keisuke Tanigawa.
Your biggest fear? I fell face-first while riding.
