Jikke Schraffordt’s entry for our 2026 Bloom BMX Video Contest, presented by Sunday and Odyssey.
Filmed by : Thomas Field
“Jikke messaged me a week after the Bloom BMX Edit Contest was extended, and I was stoked to help her out in such a short timeframe. We got straight to work. The original plan was to head to BMX Amsterdam, a great spot with dirt trails, but unfortunately, the terrible weather in the Netherlands had other plans, and the trails were rained out.
Jikke is a young, up-and-coming rider in the BMX scene who has made an insane amount of progress over the past year. She’s already traveling around the world to compete in contests, and in my opinion, she has the potential to become one of the greatest. Whenever Jikke joins a session, you know it’s going to be a good one. Her energy and passion for BMX is INSANE!
Three minutes is a short amount of time to showcase everything Jikke Schraffordt can do on a bike, but I think we managed to put together something great. I had an amazing time filming with her. The 360 Tailwhip was a scary one for Jikke, especially since she had only done it a few times on resi before. On our last day of filming, she had just one hour left before heading straight to the airport to fly to the UK, where she would meet up with friends and continue training internationally.
A huge thank you to BLOOM BMX for this opportunity! 🤘”
