LIF HEALEY: The Bloom BMX Video Contest 2026 Presented by Sunday and Odyssey

Lif Healey’s entry for our 2026 Bloom BMX Video Contest, presented by Sunday and Odyssey. Filmed by: Phill Healey (@munklefish)

I was so excited when I saw that The Bloom was doing this contest. You don’t see many edits from girls and women online, so I knew this was the perfect opportunity to try and show everyone what I can do.

I filmed and edited this with my Dad over the summer, in between travelling to contests, jams, and training. In the end, I think the video features clips from three or four different cities around Southern Germany.

I called the video “Disciplines” because I ride a bit of everything: street, dirt, and park. Trying to fit all three into a three-minute video was pretty tough, and I had loads of clips I had to leave out, but I wanted it to show my style and how different each discipline is.

For me, street is mostly about riding around finding spots that look fun. Usually it’s rough ground, weird run-ups, or some random block of concrete. You just figure out what tricks might work, try to pull it clean, and then head off to the next spot.

Dirt is totally different because you can’t change what’s there. You’ve just got to deal with the line in front of you. I’ll spend ages session-ing one jump over and over to get the speed and flow right, before trying to link the whole set. Plus the dirt changes constantly—one day it’s fast and packed down, the next it’s running slow. You’re also bound to hit a dusty patch at some point and your tyres just slide out from under you.

Park is definitely where I feel most at home. It’s where I can go fast and link everything together. It gives me room to find cool lines through the ramps, ride with good flow and power, and throw down my favourite tricks.

It’s only three minutes, but it pretty much sums up my riding—just adapting to whatever’s in front of me, whether it’s concrete, wood, or dirt. I love it all.

Thank you to our sponsors for making this video contest possible: Sunday, Odyssey, Fit Bike Co, Huffy Bikes, Kink BMX, Woodward Camp, and Vans.
