TO IGNITE GIRLS DREAMS, VISIBILITY & SUPPORT FOR 2 WHEEL ACTION SPORTS
When Caroline Buchanan first launched her female mentorship program in 2014, she wanted to be the bike-role model she wished she had growing up. Caroline has proudly supported 12 girls with $76,000 of support to compete on the global stage competing at the BMX World Championships. Introducing IGN!TE, Caroline’s evolving with the times opening up the target ages from 13-19 year old girls and broadening the support from BMX racing to everything BMX, Mountain Bike and Motocross!
Kicking off IGN!TE will begin in 2021 with 3 x $5,000 scholarships powered by Australian company Rubik3.

Scholarship Examples: Do you need assistance getting to an event, a gap in training equipment, need an airbag to work on your skills, strength and conditioning, need a coach, want to complete a worlds first, need a home training gate start, backyard pump track/dirt jumps or media & marketing training?
RUBIK3 IGNITION
2021 SCHOLARSHIPS:
- 3x Australian Girls (1x BMX, 1x Mountain Bike, 1x Moto)
- $4,000 project cash + $1,000 content budget = $5,000 scholarship
GIRLS DELIVERABLES:
- Share on social media their novelty checks received in the mail
- Complete their project
- Check in with Caroline Buchanan on 2x Zoom mentoring support calls
- Wear a Rubik3 logo on their jersey or helmet where applicable for the duration of the 4 month scholarship, filming and media
- Be available for sponsor/media interviews
- With the $1,000 content budget, girls must provide Rubik3 and Ign!te with photos of either completing or working on the project and a high quality video from a professional Videographer in “landscape format” for ongoing marketing, media interviews and press releases
KEY DATES:
- Scholarship announcement: End of August applications open
- Applications close: September 31st
- Scholarship selects: October 1st announcement of successful Ign!te girls
- Mentoring: October 1-7th Zoom call #1 with Caroline mentoring each girl with direction to support their project
- Mentoring: December 1-7th Zoom call #2 with Caroline to check in on project and continue support their project
- Duration: October 1 – January 31 (4 months to complete projects & document content)
