Brazilian freestyle BMX gains a significant boost with the launch of Cresol Base Fest, a new international competition joining the sport’s official calendar with naming rights from Cresol and endorsed by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) as CLASS 1 – C1. With two scheduled stages – the first in August in Maringá, Paraná, and the second in December in SĂŁo Bernardo do Campo, SĂŁo Paulo – the circuit adds points to the world rankings and strengthens Brazil’s presence on the international BMX scene.
In addition to the professional category, which will bring together leading names in the global sport, both male and female, the competition will also offer opportunities for amateur athletes, encouraging the emergence of new talent and expanding the sport’s base.
The competition will be broadcast live worldwide on CazeTV, Brazil’s largest sports channel, with over 22 million subscribers on YouTube. It is where the biggest competitions in Brazil and around the world are broadcast.
There will be cash prizes for the professional categories and also for Best Trick, reinforcing the true essence of BMX.
We invite athletes from all over the world to be present at this special moment for us here in Brazil.
