“It’s official ? @swissolympicteam
I used to dream of going to the #Olympics as a soccer player. Things changed, life happened, and I found freestyle BMX, a sport most outsiders knew nothing about. It was addictive, and soon consumed every minute of my life. I never dreamed the opportunity to become an Olympian would actually present itself, especially in such an unlikely sport. Fast forward to 2021 and here we are…As I watch all my soccer idols and others being announced for Tokyo, it still hasn’t quite sunk in that this time, I will be alongside them. A long way from the girl who’s anxiety kept her from leaving the house. THANK YOU to my parents, family, and each and every one of you who has been there for me along the way. Let’s gooo ⚡️????” – Nikita
