Vigo, Spain — July 30, 2026 | Japan’s Nene Naito and Spain’s Teresa Fernández-Miranda will compete in Women’s BMX Park at Marisquiño 2026, while European bronze medalist Dasha Rabanete joins the Flatland lineup. The three riders are among the women confirmed for the festival’s BMX program at Samil Beach from August 6–9, 2026.
Nene Naito became Japan’s youngest women’s national champion in 2021, winning the elite title at just 15, and went on to take bronze at the 2023 Asian BMX Freestyle Championships. After competing in the 2024 Olympic Qualifier Series, she finished sixth at X Games Salt Lake City in 2025.
Teresa Fernández-Miranda, the reigning Spanish BMX Freestyle Park champion, combines international Park competition with an established presence in bowls and trails. She won bronze at the 2021 European BMX Freestyle Park Championships and has competed at both X Games and the Olympic Qualifier Series.
Spain’s Dasha Rabanete made her international debut at the 2025 European Championships in Eindhoven, where she won the women’s bronze medal at the age of 17. She followed that breakthrough result by placing ninth at the opening round of the 2026 UCI BMX Freestyle Flatland World Cup in Montpellier.
Marisquiño 2026 will feature BMX Park, Street, Flatland and Adaptive BMX, together with a Big Air showcase bringing BMX and MTB riders onto the same ramp. The full festival program will bring together around 1,500 athletes from more than 30 countries across eight sports, alongside live music, urban art and family activities. Admission to the festival is free.
