“The mongoose am jam is the next evolution with our events,” said mongoose team manager Leigh Ramsdell. “While the Mongoose jams have always had an amateur element, the am jam is more focused on up and coming riders to help grow the sport. Our athletes will all be there checking out the new riders and offering up any advice to advance their riding. We’re super pumped to bring a jam to source park and create some excitement for BMX in the uk!”
The all-day am jam event will be split into two sessions: a morning clinic with young riders, who will get to meet the pros, ride mongoose bikes, and have the chance to win prizes; while the afternoon session will be a contest for local amateurs by age bracket for awards/prizes from the mongoose team. The day will finish off with a pro demo from the mongoose athletes.
“I can’t wait to have the mongoose team in Hastings riding and hanging out at my local spots,” Mongoose pro Greg Illingworth commented. “I know all the kids and ams are going to lose their minds when they see the whole team ripping at Source. There’s nothing better than a jam to bring riders together for a good time.”
Full event details and the entry form can be found on the source park website.
