QUALIFICATION SYSTEMGAMES OF THE XXXIV OLYMPIAD – LA28

“The first set of qualification systems for the LA28 Olympic Games has been approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board (EB), marking a key milestone on the road to the next edition of the Games.” In simple words, here are the details on what you need to achieve to get into the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. Here are the quick details.

  • There is a quota of 11 male riders and 11 female riders
  • There will also be 1 male and 1 female spot allocated to the host country (USA)
  • The total number of riders will be 24, 12 males and 12 females.
  • The maximum number of athletes per National Olympic Committee (NOC) is 2 per male and female.
  • Riders must be at least 15 years old in 2028
  • There will be 3 Olympic Qualifier Series in 2028, locations and dates TBD
  • Major events will also include the 2026 World Championships in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and in Haute-Savoie, France in 2027.
  • The qualifying period will be from November 3, 2026, to the last OQS event in 2028
  • LA28 will be from July 14-30, 2028
